Transfer Within MPESD
Note: This process does not apply to the Ida Jew Academies. You can enroll in them without completing an Intradistrict Transfer Form.
Students are assigned to schools based on a space available and first-come first-serve basis at the discretion of the principal. If space is not available, the student will be placed at another school within the District. However, a student can attend a different school within MPESD if the parent/guardian completes an Intradistrict Transfer Form and receives approval.
Transfer request forms are available at each school. You can also complete the form digitally.
Transfer Steps
- Complete the form above.
- Please make sure you write down the school year at the top.
- Turn in the form via one of the following methods:
- Email it to Felicia Le at fle@mpesd.org.
- Drop it off at the District Office (3434 Marten Avenue, San Jose, CA 95148-1300).
- Mail it to the District Office, addressed to the Superintendent's Office with "ATTN: Intradistrict Transfer".
- You will be informed of the decision within thirty (30) business days.
Conditions
If your form is approved, please keep in mind the following:
- Students must follow school attendance and classroom rules, or they will be returned to the school of residence.
- The application must be resubmitted every school year.
- Transportation will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian, as this is being requested by the parent/guardian.
- Transfers are granted on the basis of space availability and may be revoked at any time during the school year.
