Mr. Breton
Hello, my name is Mr. David Breton and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. First let me tell you a little bit about myself. When I was growing up in Massachusetts I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education I continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education in 1995. After working for two years I moved to California in 1997 and have been teaching in the Mount Pleasant School District ever since. I now have a wife, two sons and a dog named Cooper. When I am not planning lessons and correcting papers I enjoy golf, eating ice cream and spending time with my family.
Our Special Day Class is located in room #4 and educates students in grades 1, 2, and 3. I believe that each child brings unique talents and strengths to the classroom. All teachers and support providers work together to ensure students develop the skills to learn and solve problems both inside and outside the classroom. Here’s how you can help.
Family involvement is an essential key to your child’s educational success. Please be prepared to communicate with me through email, parent conferences and IEP Team meetings throughout the year. You can help support your child’s education by showing interest in their work, asking about their day and reviewing the contents of their backpack every day. Together we can help to ensure the happiness and success of your little learner.
Each school year is an adventure filled with a great mix of fun, challenges and of course learning. The best way to reach me is through the following email address (dbreton@mpesd.org). Thank you in advance for supporting my efforts to educate and connect with your child.
Warm Regards,
Mr. Breton
