What should my student be practicing?

Elementary school students are working on how to put their instruments together, care for them, hold them correctly and make their first sounds.  After they can do those things, we will distribute instrument check-out forms for students to take their instruments home. First-year players will practice making their first three notes.  

Students are welcome to keep their instruments at school, but if they take them home to practice, they must bring them on their band day. Students who forget to bring their instruments more than twice will need to keep them at school.   

Zero Period Band

6th-8th grade August Boeger and Ida Jew Academy students:

Beginners: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:20-8am  -  Concert Band (Int/Adv): Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:20-8am 

 AB gym, room #35.

Concert Dress

Black pants or skirt, white shirt or blouse. Black or dark shoes, white socks.  Black and white dresses are OK. Ties of any color are OK. It does not have to be fancy: dark pants and white t-shirts are OK.
