What is PEPRA?

PEPRA refers to the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act, which came into effect on January 2013. In summary, an individual who enrolls in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) will be under a different benefits system depending on the date of enrollment. Because of these, we have two different salary schedules for classified employees.

Classic - Enrolled before January 1, 2013
Post-PEPRA - Enrolled on or after January 1, 2013
