Therapeutic Program Support
Helen Huynh is the South East SELPA's Program Administrator for Children with Emotional and Behavioral Needs. Helen assists district staff by providing direct support in the areas of school mental health and positive behavior strategies and interventions. Support in this domain includes evidence-based practices in the areas of classroom environment, classroom management/positive behavioral supports, and accommodations that are legal and ethical for the purposes of establishing a safe and predictable environment for students to be successful.
As a Program Administrator for Children with Emotional and Behavioral Needs, Helen may assist in the following capacity:

Coach and/or consult with service providers and administrators on school mental health and behavior accommodations and best practices
- Provide training in the area of classroom and behavior management systems for parents and staff, including de-escalation and restraint training
- Plan programs
- Coordinate curricular resources and evaluate the effectiveness of programs for individuals with exceptional needs
- Participate in school site staff development
- Engage in Alternate Dispute Resolution activities
- Monitor compliance with behavioral regulations

The Ocala STEAM Therapeutic Program was recognized for implementing evidence-based practices from the Tiers of Intensive Educationally Responsive Supports Program during the 2018-19 academic year (see program description here).
Alum Rock Union School District's Therapeutic Support Services Program at Ryan Elementary
Ryan's Therapeutic Support Services Program has been serving students with emotional/behavioral disorders since 2012. The program utilizes positive behavioral supports and evidence-based practices to address student needs.
