    Dr. Sandra Jewett, Director of Personnel sajewett@mpesd.org

    The Director of Personnel guides the hiring and retention of highly qualified staff, oversees evaluation, serves as lead negotiator with labor groups, and works collaboratively with leadership on labor relations while ensuring the overall efficiency of the school system that supports student learning and well-being as the primary focus. In addition, she ensures compliance with mandatory training, Education Code, and Board Policies as they relate to personnel matters.

    Jesse Darling, Administrative Assistant jdarling@mpesd.org

    Oversees and coordinates all generalized Human Resource Office functions and serves as the primary assistant to the Director of Personnel. She coordinates all interviews, and applicant files and coordinates placement of certified and classified substitute employees, tracks employee attendance/vacation planning, manages the AESOP/Frontline system, assists with all worker's comp claims, and processes purchase orders.

    Oversees Human Resources Office functions, prepares Board recommendations, and supports functions relating to employment requirements for both classified and certificated employees; CalSTRS/CalPERS; salary placement, advancement, and professional growth; evaluation cycles; credential monitoring and renewal; new employee processing; personnel files; classification/reclassification; CBEDS/CALPADS and COVID19 monitoring and reporting as appropriate.
