Zearn.org is a great website that helps support our school's math curriculum, Eureka Math/Engage NY. Zearn is an interactive program that follows the same lessons as Eureka math. Another great feature of Zearn is that all lessons are differentiated, so all students will get the support that they need. Zearn is useable on a web browser (chrome, safari, firefox) on computers, tablets, and smartphone.

How Zearn works:

1. Number Gym/ Discovery Canyon - Students will be building fluency, or mastery over older math topics.  If your child is struggling here, please contact Mr. Velasco immediately for supplemental help.
2. Math Chat - Students will watch an interactive video that will teach the concept of the current lesson. The video will pause in sections to interact with students to see an understanding of the concept.
3. Tower of Power - Students will answer multiple questions to practice to show what concepts they learned. If a student is to fail a question, an interactive video, and walk-through of a similar question will be given to the student. Students that struggle to pass Tower of Power will give a warning to the teacher. This is okay! This tells us that a student may need more help in a certain concept!
4. Bonus - Students can continue building mastery over a lesson by doing bonus lessons. This is not mandatory, but this is good practice if students want to continue to build mastery on a lesson.
