WELCOME to our 2024-2025 School Year! 

My name is Ms. So. 

I love teaching at our school. This is my 21st year here at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. Mt. Pleasant is full of inspiring teachers, hard-working scholars, and their supportive families! Over the years of teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade, I have been blessed by the rich culture in our school and community.

During my years here as a part of the Mt. Pleasant, and now MPIJA family, I have enjoyed personal and professional growth opportunities which allow me to pour my love of teaching right back into empowering students throughout their academic and social/emotional journeys. 

When I am not working with my scholars and families, I love writing, reading, listening to inspirational music, adventuring with friends and family, trying new things, and relaxing at the beach! 

Our district is implementing a new platform of communication with families called Parent Square. Be on the lookout for a welcome post from me when it is fully up and running. I will also continue using Class Dojo and Email to stay in contact with you throughout this school year while we all gradually learn Parent Square.
