  • Hybrid Board Meetings: In-person & via Zoom/YouTube

    Mount Pleasant School Board meetings are now held in-person and via Zoom or YouTube. The in-person meetings are held in the August Boeger Cafeteria located at 1944 Flint Ave, San Jose, CA 95148.

    Members of the public that wish to attend the meetings must be aware that:

    • Attendees will be required to wear face-covering;
    • Space may be limited because seating will be spaced 3 feet apart whenever possible;
    • A person may provide public comment by:
    1. Attending and speaking in person
    2. Public comment may be submitted electronically on line by clicking here.

    Please complete the form to request translation for the October 13, 2021 board meeting.  Forms must be submitted 48 hours prior to the meeting time to secure interpretation. Request Translation Here

    Regularly scheduled board meetings start at 5:00 PM, quickly recess to Closed Session (this part of the agenda is not conducted in public), and generally return at 6:00 PM for the Open Session (this part of the agenda is open to the public).

    Las reuniones de la junta directiva escolar ahora se llevan a cabo en persona y por Zoom o YouTube. Las reuniones se llevaran a cabo en la cafetería de August Boeger, ubicado en 1944 Flint Ave, San Jose, CA 95148.

    Los miembros del publico que quieren asistir a las reuniones deben ser informados de que:

    • Se requerirá que personas en asistencia usen cubre bocas;
    • El espacio será limitado porque los asientos estarán espaciados a 3 pies de distancia siempre que sea 
    • Una persona puede proporcionar comentarios públicos de la siguiente manera: 
    1. Asistir y hablar en persona
    2. Los comentarios publicos pueden enviarse electronicamente en linea haciendo clic aqui.

  • About safety protocols for the new school year 2021-2022

    At MPESD we are following safety measures established by our local health authorities and are working to create the best environment possible for our school community to thrive.   • To enroll in Independent Study for the 2021-22 school year:

    • Complete information requested on Google Form Link- Independent Study Enrollment Request
    • Student Name, Grade, School, Parent Name, email, and phone number where text can be received
    • Using your contact information, you will be emailed/texted the Independent Study Contract to complete and sign electronically by
    • You will be notified by email before school starts of the teacher,  initial schedule and how to receive technology and materials before school starts.
    • In September you will be sent an additional independent study contract to sign regarding assignments and grading

    Preschool Registration for fall 2021-22 is now open! 

    Our preschool prepares children for entry into transitional kindergarten and kindergarten through a fun, play-based, and developmentally appropriate program.  This year the preschool program will be located at Valle Vista Elementary in our new “Early Learners at Valle Vista” classroom.
