Dear Robert Sanders Family, 

It is truly a great honor and privilege that you have entrusted me to be a part of your caring, dynamic community and your children’s academic journeys from Kindergarten through fifth grade. I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively on strengthening all students’ skills and abilities academically, socially, and emotionally. 

I have been in the field of education for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education with a Spanish minor from Pennsylvania State University. In addition, I earned a Master of Education in Science from Lesley University.  Most recently, I completed my Administrative Credential coursework at Santa Clara University. 

Prior to becoming your principal, I worked with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in a variety of roles and educational settings. In addition, I was a new teacher mentor, Language Arts lead teacher, Science Department Chair, and Summer Program Director.  I am thrilled to utilize my skills as an educational leader at Robert Sanders Elementary and to partner with you to ensure your child's success.

All children are unique individuals who should be afforded an engaging education allowing them to learn in the ways that best meet all their needs, not only as learners but as young men and women. Kindness and respect should be the basis of all interactions between staff and student and among students. A safe, nurturing environment that promotes the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of all students is the cornerstone of learning. I am thrilled to partner with this community to provide such an educational environment.

On a personal note, I am a native of Pennsylvania but have lived in California since 1996. I enjoy being in nature and spending time with loved ones.
