The Mt. Pleasant Elementary School District prides itself on being on the cutting edge of Educational Technology. All classrooms and offices throughout the District have network and Internet access via Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Networks (LANs) and the District wireless network.

All staff members have e-mail and the management team communicates weekly bulletins, meeting notices, and other correspondence through e-mail.
Our students have access to a host of web based applications and curriculum that are integrated into their classroom instruction, including Google Apps.

        August Boeger Middle School

            August Boeger Middle School uses a wide array of technology to support instruction and student learning. All teachers have a laptop computer with network and Internet access in their classroom. All classrooms are connected to a networked printer. Each classroom has a document camera connected to an LCD projector. The projectors can also be used with the teacher laptops. August Boeger has a computer lab in which classroom teachers are able to give students instruction in a host of academic and related subjects. Two mobile labs are also available for use in classrooms.

        Ida Jew Academies

            Ida Jew Academies uses a wide array of technology to support instruction and student learning. All teachers have a laptop computer and two desktop computers with network and Internet access in their classroom. All classrooms are connected to a networked printer. Each classroom has a document camera connected to an LCD projector. The projectors can also be used with the teacher laptops. Ida Jew Academies has a computer lab in which classroom teachers are able to give students instruction in a host of academic and related subjects. A mobile tablet lab is also available for use in classrooms.

        Valle Vista Elementary School

            Valle Vista Elementary School  uses a wide array of technology to support instruction and student learning. All teachers have a laptop computer  with network and Internet access in their classroom. All classrooms are connected to a networked printer. Valle Vista has a computer lab in which classroom teachers are able to give students instruction in a host of academic and related subjects.

            Two academic applications that are used District wide are Renaissance Place and Type to Learn 4

            Renaissance Place is a web-based system that runs on a single Windows server. Students and teachers enter Renaissance Place via web browser. Within Renaissance Place students and teachers have access to Accelerated Reader, STAR Reading, English in a Flash, Accelerated Math and STAR Math as well as progress-monitoring assessment tools.

            Type to Learn 4 is a combination site server and desktop based keyboarding application that allows students to practice keyboarding skills. It is a comprehensive instructional keyboarding program that covers skills ranging from beginning to advanced. Type to Learn 4 emphasizes both accuracy and words per minute speed, and provides each student with individualized remediation and goals for success. It has more than 100 lessons, 5 engaging, skill-targeted typing games with each lesson, and 7 diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments.
